Saturday, June 20 * 10:00 am The theme for this year’s parade is “The Midwest’s Mardi Gras” Fill the Truck with Hats! We are pleased to announce that Anthony Leanna is this year’s Grand Marshall! Anthony, a senior at Bay Port High School, is the founder of Heavenly Hats. This foundation provides hats to cancer patients and other medical patients who lose their hair due to a disease or the treatment of a disease. Individuals and hospitals receive these hats in order to help the patients feel better about themselves and to give them the extra courage and hope to win their fight. We will be attempting to collect enough hats along the route to fill the truck that Anthony will be riding in, so bring out your family and friends to toss a new hat into Anthony’s truck! Once again the parade will head East on Riverside Drive, through Vickery Village and continue onto Lakeview Drive. It will then proceed South on Lakeview ending at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Harbor Lights Road. |
